The trial of a man accused of murdering Matthew 'Tik' Tester near the M & S in Walton earlier this year is set to begin next week.
Shaan Mir, 27, from Weybridge, will face trial at Guildford Crown Court from Monday (November 22) after he pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Mir stands accused of the murder of Tik and the attempted murder of another man who was treated for serious injuries after the incident on Church Road in Walton on Thursday, April 22.
As the Surrey Comet reported, emergency services responded around 2.15pm to reports that an altercation had taken place between a group of men.
Police said one of the men then got into his car, a white 1 series BMW, and reportedly drove at two of the other men in the group.
Tik was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, while the other man who was seriously hurt was airlifted to hospital and recovered there.
Tik was a scooter enthusiast, with the scooter and moped communities worldwide raising tens of thousands of pounds for his family after his death.
Earlier this year meanwhile his family paid tribute to his "humour and generosity".
I'm sure many of you will have heard of the tragic passing, in shocking circumstances, of Lambretta enthusiast Tik Tester. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help his family at this awful time. All funds will go directly to them. Here's the link: https://t.co/n15LkKKrj1

His brother said: "Tik was a much-loved son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to so many. Those who knew him will talk of his humour, generosity, willingness to help and his cheeky grin.
"This tragedy has absolutely rocked the family who have been devastated by Tik’s death. The hurt and sadness we’ve felt over the past few days simply cannot be fully quantified and something no-one should ever experience.
"The consequences and ripples of Tik’s death will have a lasting effect on so many lives. No mother should expect to outlive their son."
