A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a reported stabbing in New Haw on Friday (November 27).
Police said they were called to reports of a "reports of a man being seriously assaulted with a knife" on Pinewood Grove in New Haw after 9pm on Friday.
The victim of the apparent stabbing, a man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Meanwhile officers arrested a 27-year-old man from Addlestone was was taken in on suspicion of attempted murder, police said.
Detective Sergeant Jennie Henderson offered further details of the investigation into what happened.

She said that detectives believe there is a link to a road rage incident elsewhere in New Haw, and told residents to expect heightened police presence in the area.
"We believe that this serious assault followed a road rage incident which took place along Garfield Road, New Haw Road, Woodham Lane and Heathervale Road between 8:30pm and 8:45pm," Henderson said. "The suspect involved was driving a black and red moped. Local residents may have noticed an increased police presence over the course of this weekend, and we would like to reassure you that we are doing everything possible. We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or the events leading up to it to contact us with any information to assist us with this investigation," she said.
