A man was assaulted and robbed outside a Tesco in Addlestone after what he thought was a meet-up for a Facebook Marketplace sale.
The incident happened outside the Tesco on Station Road on Monday, January 3 at around 6.30pm.
The victim had arranged to meet the suspect as he had agreed over Facebook Marketplace to sell him a graphics card worth around £2,000.
On arrival, the suspect, who was unknown to the victim, falsely claimed that he had already transferred the money, then grabbed the box and fled the scene.
The victim chased the suspect in an attempt to get his property back, but was violently punched in the head multiple times.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 20-30 years of age, around 5ft 10" tall and of a slim build.
He was unshaven and has a distinctive limp with his left leg.
He is described as speaking with an Irish accent.

A Surrey Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery and assault outside Tesco on Station Road, Addlestone.
"The incident occurred on Monday, 3 January at around 6.30pm.
"The victim had arranged to meet the suspect as he had agreed over Facebook Marketplace to sell him a graphics card worth around £2000.
"However on arrival, the suspect, who was unknown to the victim, falsely claimed that he had already transferred the money, then grabbed the box and fled the scene.
"The victim chased the suspect in an attempt to get his property back, but was violently punched in the head multiple times.
"The suspect is described as a white male, between 20-30 years of age, around 5ft 10" tall and of a slim build.
