A motorcyclist is fighting for their life after a crash in Hersham.
The crash between the red motorcycle and grey Volkswagen Golf happened in Molesey Road near Tesco Express at around 4.45pm on Saturday.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Molesey Road was closed at the time of the incident between the junctions to Rydens Road and Walton Park.
Surrey Police is now appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or has any dascham footage to contact the force quoting reference number PR/P22053065.
An Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex spokesperson said: "“A helicopter from Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) attended a male patient involved in a road traffic collision in Walton on Thames on 12th March 2022.
"Our crew arrived on scene at 17:07 where they worked with SECAmb, Surrey Police and the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service to help treat the patient who was taken to a major trauma centre by air.”
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "I can confirm we were called to reports of an RTC involving a vehicle and a motorcyclist on Lyon Road, Walton on Thames, at approximately 4.40pm on Saturday (12 March).
"Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance service.
"The motorcyclist was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to St George’s Hospital in a serious condition."
On Saturday, a Surrey Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a two vehicle collision in Hersham on Saturday, 12 March.
"Officers were called to Molesey Road at around 4.45pm following reports of a serious collision between a red motorcycle and a grey Volkswagen Golf near Tesco Express.
"One of the drivers was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
"Emergency services remain at the scene and Molesey Road is closed between the junctions to Rydens Road and Walton Park.
"Diversions are in place but we would ask motorists to be patient and avoid the area if they can for the time being.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any dashcam footage to please contact us quoting incident reference number PR/P22053065 via:
