The majority of staff and students at Esher C of E High School have now left the premises following reports of a concern for safety earlier this morning.
Officers were called to the school at around 11.15am following reports that the school had received a suspicious phone call.
No weapons were recovered from the scene.
No arrests have been made.
Surrey Police has thanked staff, students and parents for their cooperation and patience while the incident was dealt with.
Officers are still at the school premises conducting searches and enquiries remain ongoing.
