Kingston Council will remain under the control of Liberal Democrats following the local 2022 elections after winning 41 seats.
The Conservatives came in second with just three seats and the Kingston Independent Residents Group gained one seat.
Voter turnout reached 45.64 per cent for the 2022 local election with 50,966 ballot papers submitted.
A total of 45 of the council’s full 48 seats were declared yesterday.
Three seats are currently vacant due to the postponement of the election in the New Malden Village Ward.
This is in accordance with electoral law, following the news of the death of independent candidate Mary Jean Clark.
