A popular pub in Kingston has reopened for the first time since 2020 following a six-figure refurbishment.
Cornerstone on Clarence Street has undergone a full makeover including a brand-new sports area.
Following the pandemic, the pub shut down and has since been taken over by new management who are hoping to revitalise the pub with these renovations.
Steve Murphy, general manager at Cornerstone, said: “Cornerstone is the perfect home away from home in the centre of Kingston.
“Whether you’re looking to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Kingston High Street, or just want to relax near the river in the sun, you’ll always have good food and refreshing drink to look forward to at Cornerstone.
“The renovation has brought a vibrant new energy to the pub, and with our improved facilities and exciting new sports area we’re really pleased to be able to offer our Kingston guests an even better drinking, dining and social experience.
“We can’t wait to welcome new friends and old to visit Cornerstone over the next few weeks and witness the transformation for themselves – it’s been totally revamped since it was a Hungry Horse!”
The pub will now have American shuffleboards, smart darts and pool – as well as live music and quiz nights throughout the week.
You can also tuck into some classic pub grub, from steak nights to Sunday roasts.
The location means you’re right by Kingston University London, The Rotunda and the river so you can shop and relax in the sun – especially in their new beer garden.
Cornerstone is now open and students can even get 20% off with a valid student card.
