The Lib Dems wish to turn Kingston into a place of culture and attract visitors from outside the borough. The Lib Dems also stated that graffiti is on the decrease.
However, walking along the Queen's Promenade by the river on Sunday, the majority of the memorial benches had been defaced with graffiti tags. The public toilets were locked. Further up in Charter Quay, the lights over the wooden bridge were broken or smashed. The bins were over-flowing. Is this the impression that the council wishes to give its visitors? Take off those rose-tinted glasses and have a look around.
