A victim of persecution in Rwanda who fled to the UK has finally been told she can become a British citizen after taking her fight to the High Court.
A senior judge ruled that Phionah Mondo should be allowed to have her passport and rights earlier this year.
But despite celebrating with friends and supporters, Phionah, 22, was forced to wait another 28 days to see if the Home Office would appeal.
She said: "I'm thrilled. This is my life. I have waited for so long and been in this limbo situation for four or five years, waiting and wishing and every now and then I'm down."
