A man has died after a stabbing in West Molesey.
The incident happened in Bishop Fox Way just after midday yesterday (November 18).
Officers were called to the scene and found a man injured.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A 36-year-old man from West Molesey has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
It is believed the victim and suspect are known to each other.
A significant emergency services presence remains at the scene following the incident.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “A murder investigation is underway following an assault in West Molesey earlier today (18 November).
“Officers were called to an address in Bishop Fox Way just after midday following reports that a man had suffered stab wounds.
“Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
“A 36-year-old man from West Molesey has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.
“It is believed the victim and suspect are known to each other.
“A significant emergency services presence remains at the scene dealing with the incident.”
