There are severe delays to traffic on the M25 in Surrey - around nine hours after a serious multi-vehicle collision.
The incident happened at around midnight last night (February 8) on the M25 anti-clockwise between J8 (Reigate) and J6 (Godstone).
National Highways posted on X that the motorway was closed anti-clockwise due to a multi-vehicle collision at around 12.30am, while all emergency services attended the scene.
It later posted updates that one of the four lanes had reopened, but three of the years lanes remains closed this morning, with delays of around an hour and a half.

AA Maps show there is queueing traffic for seven miles with congestion to J9 at Leatherhead.
Surrey Police has been contacted for further information.
