The popular cinema-chain Cineworld is set to close its doors in six locations across the UK.
On Saturday, July 3, 2024, a notice was filed to confirm the end of the administration of parent company Cineworld Group PLC.
But an official spokesperson has confirmed that Cineworld Group PLC is no longer part of the Cineworld group, which means its dissolvement will not have any impact on Cineworld’s business.
Previously, 25 cinemas across the UK were reported to be at risk of closure, however a spokesperson for Cineworld has since confirmed that only six cinemas in the UK will be closing down.
None of the cinemas are located in London.
The following Cineworld sites are in set to close:
- Cineworld Glasgow Parkhead
- Cineworld Bedford
- Cineworld Hinckley
- Cineworld Loughborough
- Cineworld Yate
- Cineworld Swindon Circus
Cineworld is one of the largest cinema chains in the UK, offering a wide range of films, including mainstream blockbusters and independent releases, across its numerous locations.
It also operates premium services like IMAX, 4DX, and VIP experiences for an enhanced movie-going experience.
