A Wetherspoon pub in Epsom is set to reopen tomorrow after undergoing an extensive £1 million refurbishment project.
The Assembly Rooms will be opened tomorrow (September 3) at 8am by Mayor of Epsom and Ewell Cllr Steve Bridger.
The customer area has been completely refurbished, including the relocation and enhancement of the bar, along with upgraded drinks dispensing equipment.
The pub has been fully redecorated throughout, featuring new carpet installation and additional furniture.
The air conditioning in the customer area has been improved, customer toilets have been repaired and redecorated, and new artwork has been added.
Exterior signage and lighting have been replaced and upgraded.
Behind the scenes, the kitchen facilities and equipment have been upgraded, an open gantry food hoist room has been added, and new staff facilities have been created.
The Assembly Rooms pub will be open from 8am to midnight from Sunday to Thursday, and 8am to 1am Friday and Saturday.
Food will be served throughout the day, from opening until 11pm every day.
The pub will be open for family dining, with children, accompanied by an adult, welcome in the pub until 9pm, throughout the week.
Pub manager Sel Devecioglu said: “The £1.375 million investment highlights Wetherspoon’s commitment to the pub and its staff and customers, as well as to Epsom itself.
“We are delighted that we have also been able to create 15 new jobs for local people.
“The team are looking forward to welcoming customers back into The Assembly Rooms and we’re confident that they will be impressed by the upgraded pub.”
