All traffic on the M25 near Surrey has stopped due to a van fire, causing long delays in the area.
The fire broke out on the M25 anticlockwise between J7 Redhill and M23 in Godstone at around 7.30am today (September 18).
National Highways confirmed on X (formally known as Twitter) that there are delays of at least 30 mins above normal travel times.
It has urged motorists to allow extra time to complete their journey.
It is currently unknown whether if anyone is involved in the incident.
We have contacted Surrey Fire and Rescue for further information.
The full AA statement says: “All lanes stopped and queueing traffic due to van fire on M25 anticlockwise before J6 A22 (Godstone).
“Congestion to J7 M23. Long delays.”
