A fire at a two-storey house in New Malden is under investigation by London Fire Brigade.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled the blaze in Muybridge Way at 10am today (September 20).
The flames had taken over part of the ground floor and first floor of the house.
The fire also destroyed a conservatory at the property.
Crews from New Malden, Surbiton, and Kingston fire stations attended the scene.
A section of Muybridge Road was partially blocked in both directions between Dickerage Road and Mount Pleasant Road.
Traffic is moving smoothly, and the disruption is mainly affecting local residents.
The incident was under control just before 11.50am.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to a fire on Muybridge Way, New Malden.
"The fire was located in a terraced house of two floors. Part of the ground floor and first floor were damaged by fire.
"A conservatory at the property was also destroyed by the fire.
"The Brigade was first called about the fire at 1000, and firefighters had the incident under control by 1152.
"Crews from New Malden, Surbiton and Kingston fire stations attended the scene.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation."
