Well – apologies, AGAIN! But here it is – the first blog now that we have announced our new programme.
I can’t tell you how exciting it is here at the theatre. We’ve actually moved into the theatre offices and are starting to prepare for opening the doors on January 16, 2008!
Our first production, as you may well know, is Uncle Vanya, directed by Peter Hall. The cast includes Neil Pearson, Ronald Pickup and Nicholas Le Prevost.
The tickets for it are selling like hot cakes and the first night is practically sold out already. For more information see www.rosetheatrekingston.org
It is great to be walking into the theatre every morning – and I hope that you will feel the same excitement when the theatre opens to the public!
Our box office is currently located at John Lewis (in the gift list section) but will move to the theatre on Monday, December 10. John Lewis have been brilliant letting us have our temporary box office there – but we are also looking forward to it coming into the building, that will start to make everything real!
Banners and signs will go up outside the building in the next couple of weeks and I’ll bring you news of that as it happens.
Again, I’m sorry for the delay with the blog…but from here on in, the news will only get better!
