WS Atkins, the Epsom based civil engineering and consultancy group will have shed five per cent of its staff - 900 jobs - by the end of March.
The firm started making redundancies last summer when it employed a total of 18,600 people world wide.
By the end of its financial year at the end of March it will have lost 900 jobs, mainly among designers and engineers.
The firm which has its headquarters in Woodcote, Epsom, will not say how many jobs will be cut from its Epsom workforce.
A statement from the firm said:"The Group's overall financial positions remains good. While our prudent management, quality of people, geographic diversity and breadth and depth of what we do mean we are more resilient to economic slowdown than many of our competitors, we are not immune.
"We will continue to take action from this position of strength to reduce staffing levels in parts of the Group which are experiencing increasing uncertainty and worsening market conditions."
