A Hampton Wick man has been charged with attempted murder, following a stabbing on Wednesday last week.
Ibrahim Elgohary, 55, of Lower Teddington Road, appeared before Richmond Magistrates' Court on Friday, June 10, accused of attempting to murder 50-year-old Richard Shackleton.
Police were called to a disturbance at the residential road in the quiet riverside street at around 1pm.
Mr Shackleton was taken to hospital following the incident with a stab wound.
He remained in a critical condition as we went to press.
Mr Elgohary was remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on September 16.
