A exhibition illustrating dramatic ideas of how Kingston could look in the year 2020 is being unveiled on Monday as part of a huge public consultation.
Concepts already mooted by planning chiefs to transform the town centre as part of K+20 scheme include a revamped Kingston station, more swanky shopping complexes, 1,500 new flats and more offices to boost employment potential.
People are being urged to visit the display at the Market House, in the Market Place, Kingston which runs until the end of July and submit their opinions.
There will also be a public display at The Bentall Centre on July 1 and 2.
A spokesman for Kingston Council, which is spearheading the development ideas said the K+20 project had now reached an "exciting" stage.
He added: "K+20 is an initiative whose purpose is to ensure that Kingston remains a thriving, vibrant, popular, attractive and environmentally sustainable town in the future."
If you cannot make it to the Market Place you can find out more at your local library or by calling Kingston Council on 020 8547 5420.
Alternatively, people can email kplus20@rbk.kingston.gov.uk or go to www.kingston.gov.uk/kplus20.
