Travellers occupying a site in Surbiton are set to be evicted if a repossession application from the site owners is granted by the courts.
A spokesman for St George's Mental Health Trust which owns the land at 21 Upper Brighton Road said the trust had decided to seek possession of its property after gathering information from relevant parties.
He said: "We have considered representations from residents, the police and the local authority, as well as on behalf of the travellers themselves.
"We have accordingly decided to seek re-possession of the site and have instructed our solicitors to pursue proceedings for possession at the earliest possible opportunity."
