Children from New Malden Methodist Church have made 97 "buddies" to send to the G8 summit, urging world leaders to help every child get an education.
Their effort, applauded by Kingston and Surbiton MP Edward Davey during a visit on Saturday, is part of a global effort to send one million paper buddies to leaders at the summit.
Children from more than 100 countries and more than 6,000 schools in the UK made buddies as part of the Send My Friend to School campaign, to represent the 100million youngsters globally who miss out on education.
Lay youth worker at the church in New Malden High Street, Julia Morton said: "They thought it was unfair that other children could not go to school."
