Parents and children are welcome to come to a launch party to discuss a possible interactive museum for children in Kingston.
The event, on Thursday, July 21, from 5.30-7.30pm at the Stanley Picker Gallery in Knight's Park, Kingston, is organized by Kingston architect, John Onken.
Discussions would include identifying funding and looking for a home for the project.
He said: "There is a flourishing movement of children's museums world-wide that become beacons for the life of their respective communities.
"The theme of Kingston Children's Museum would be arts-focused, inviting children to interact with exhibits about local authors and artists and create works themselves.
"The space itself would be part art space, part fun house."
