From Reg Bottomley

SIR. The lack of British selling power in Europe is emphasised by the displacement of considerable numbers of staff at Motorola, Thompson Holidays, Marconi, British Airways, NEC, Anchor, Royal Sun Alliance and 42,000 at Rover's Longbridge works.

Who has subjugated the contemporary dynamics in the United Kingdom such as the late Lord Nuffield, who, as William Morris, founded the huge Morris/Wolseley empire, which has disintegrated before our very eyes? William Morris left school at 15 and, with a capital of £4, started making and repairing bikes. He designed his first car in 1912. In 1919, 400 Morris cars were produced. By 1925, output was 56,000.

Today's Europhiles sit gazing at their computers and hope that by moving the mouse in the Brussels direction, everyone will be happy, prosperous and gainfully employed.

Ask the French and Dutch voters if they agree.
