Parents are being warned of disruption to ten schools as teachers plan a day of strike action.

The National Union of Teachers has called the one- day strike against the government’s proposed changes to pensions across London on Wednesday, March 28.

In Kingston Bedelsford School and St Philip's School will close for the day and eight other schools will partially shut, with one or two classes not running.

The eight schools are Burlington Infant and Nursery, King Athelstan Primary, King’s Oak Primary, Malden Parochial CofE Primary, St John's CofE Primary, St Paul's CofE Primary, Chessington Community College and Dysart School.

Kingston Council said all other schools should be open as usual.

It is advising parents to check their school's website this evening and also on Wednesday morning.
