Audiences will be shaken and stirred by the news that Britain’s finest secret agent will take the stage at the Rose Theatre.

An Evening with Sir Roger Moore (Sunday, October 14) will see the legendary film star chat about his new book Bond on Bond, tell inside stories and unheard anecdotes about his astonishing life and career including his time working on the James Bond films and his role in the iconic TV series The Saint.

Towards the end of summer the award- winning Indefinite Articles will bring their combination of puppetry, shadows and illusion to bring Pinocchio to life (August 2, to August 5) Next up at the Kingston theatre is the witty and inventive, Mort the Musical (Wednesday, August 29, to Saturday, September 1) bringing the weird and wonderful world of Terry Pratchett’s classic Discworld to life.

Stephen Unwin directs The Second Mrs Tanqueray. The moving Victorian drama tells the story of Aubrey Tanqueray, played by Olivier Award winning Laura Michelle Kelly, who marries for the second time. A woman with a past.

On the line up at the Rose, chief executive Robert O’Dowd said: “We are very excited about our autumn season.

“We look forward to welcoming Laura Michelle Kelly in the next Rose Theatre production, The Second Mrs Tanqueray and to putting on the enchanting Cinderella for all the family at Christmas.”

The popular series a Time to Talk returns in September with Hollywood director Richard Eyre (Tuesday, September 18), followed just over a month later by Monty Python funny man and national treasure Michael Palin (October 24) giving audiences the chance to ask questions from two entertainment heavyweights.

Also in October, radio and television, Marcus Brigstocke (Sunday, October 21) takes comedic aim at British life in his new show The Brig Society.

Later shows in the season includes The Comedy Store residency (Sun, October 28) the Olympics inspired London 2012 Games Dreams (Saturday, November 3), an adaptation of the best-selling children’s book Room on the Broom (Wednesday, November 7 to 11) and Bafta award winning writer Jo Brand (Saturday, November 24).
