As you are aware Epsom Downs Health Commissioning Group are holding a meeting ( public invited but not participating) at Epsom Down Grandstand on the 17th May, 2013 at 1.30pm, where they will discuss the Better Services Better Value programme and decide whether they wish to proceed with the process.
In light of the letter released by 21 Epsom Hospital clinicians opposing the downgrading of the hospital dated the 7th May, it is my intention to make a silent protest outside the grandstand gates from 1pm to show my support for the clinicians and my opposition to the down grading of the hospital.
I do this in my capacity as a Residents Association borough councillor and retiring chairman of Epsom and Ewell Borough Council health liaison panel. I will be supported by Nancy Richmond ( the Butterfly Appeal Centre at Epsom Hospital) and friends.
