It is with much regret that I hear Epsom is losing another business from its High Street. Losing Field to Fork is a great blow to Epsom.
On the occasions that I visited, the food and service were outstanding.
They were also kind enough to sponsor some of the charity events that I organised, raising money for Epsom Medical Equipment Fund and Epsom's Riding for the Disabled. They will be greatly missed.
Epsom Council must do more to stop businesses from going under.
So far Epsom's parking charges are much higher than neighbouring towns and is inadequately provided for.
Whilst the council has done well to start off peak parking charges earlier, they have also put the prices up!
Why is this necessary when the council is not using any of their reserve funds this year?
Tax rates for the High Street are also very high. The council must do more to stop excellent restaurants such as Field to Fork from going bust.
