Councillor Dan Stevens and your other readers will be pleased to know that I and the Residents Association Group have indeed taken recent action on Hollymoor Lane and Horton Chapel by appointing an experienced project manager to get both these projects moving as a matter of urgency.
Regarding "slashing the staff budget" this is both misleading and incorrect.
Staff costs in Epsom and Ewell have remained broadly unchanged since the recession hit the country.
Your Residents Association-led council have managed to make significant savings in a number of areas without affecting the services we provide for our residents.
It has not been easy and we are lucky to have loyal and hardworking staff who have responded to the challenges produced by the huge cuts in the formula grant from the government.
Councillor Neil Dallen
