Re your report (Lack of care, June 4) as a retired social work manager, who has read a number of damming reports concerning the above, on a fairly regular basis, I am absolutely appalled by the obvious sub-standard level of care and professional practice, which have been allowed to prevail at the above establishment.
How many more members of our elderly and vulnerable community need to become neglected, seriously injured or die due to the absence of quality care, before this so-called nursing home is de-registered?
It is difficult to imagine a significant improvement in overall standards of care and professional practice, given that the current owner does not exactly inspire confidence. He continues to demonstrate (in regular reports) a glaring inability to acknowledge or accept any responsibility for the on-going situation.
