Gale-force winds and torrential rain did not deter 596 runners from taking on the Tadworth-10, the annual 10-mile run around Epsom Downs, Walton-on-the Hill and Tadworth.
In the worst ever conditions of its 33-year history, Sunday’s race was won by Ollie Garrod of Epsom & Ewell Harriers in 58 minutes 23 seconds.
The ladies’ race was won by Lucie Custance of Clapham Chasers in 1.03:56.Collingwood AC took the men’s team prize with South London Harriers taking the ladies’ prize.
The race was run in support of Tadworth AC’s nominated charities – The Woodland Trust and Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People.
