A team with four former Premier League players, including one who played for Liverpool and England, were defeated by Kingstonian last Saturday.
A last-minute winner in injury time, scored by Lewis Taylor, gifted the Ks a 1-0 victory over Billericay Town in the club’s first league game this season.
Billericay Town, who have Paul Konchesky, Kevin Foley, Jermaine Pennant and Jamie O’Hara on their books are considered favourites for promotion after recruiting heavily in the summer.
But the Essex club’s promotion hopes took a dent, particularly when defender Joe Ellul was sent off nine minutes from time.
Kingstonian will host Burgess Hill Town tonight at Fetcham Grove, with kick-off scheduled for 7:45pm.
