Corinthian-Casuals earned their first home league win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Whitehawk on Tuesday night.
Second half goals from Warren Mfula and Gabriel Odunaike was enough to give James Bracken’s side three points and earn their first clean sheet of this Bostik League Premier campaign.
After a cagey first half which saw Whitehawk hit the post twice, Mfula’s 54th minute strike broke the deadlock. 14 minutes later and a defensive slip-up from Hawk’s Matt Drage awarded Odunaike with the easiest goal he’ll score this season, tapping into an empty net.
Whilst the result still leaves Casuals second from bottom in the table, Bracken’s side have two games in hand on rivals and will look to build on this victory – the second in three league matches for the Tolworth outfit. Casuals host unbeaten AFC Hornchurch on Saturday.
