Simon Funnell’s Salts moved to fourth in the league after another win on the road, this time at Ash United.
Epsom and Ewell narrowed the gap to three points behind league leaders Bedfont and Feltham, thanks to goals from Rob Hendry and Bobby Bennett.
Conor Young in goal saved an early penalty to keep the Salt’s level, before Hendry gave the away side the lead on 32 minutes.
Bennett then put the Salts 2-0 up from the penalty spot on 69 minutes, after Olly Martinez had been brought down in the box.
The hosts managed to pull a goal back at the death but the Salts held on for an impressive victory.
This victory followed up their 3-0 home win against Frimley Green in the league on Saturday 3 November, in which Adam Heagney captained the side on his 100th appearance.
Salts host Kensington Borough in CCL1 this Saturday 17th November.
The following Tuesday 20th November, Dorkinians visit High Road, Chipstead, for the Surrey Premier Cup second round.
