Manager Leigh Dynan has hailed two more signings as K’s look to maintain a promotion push.
Experienced right-back Sean Clohessy has arrived from Vanarama South Concord Rangers. The 31-year-old was a youth player at Arsenal alongside Cesc Fabregas, then racked up over 200 appearances in professional football, most notably with Southend United, before moving down to non-league two years ago.
He made an accomplished debut in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Hornchurch and looks to have ended the team’s search for a regular specialist in the position after lining up alongside fellow defensive recruit Dean Inman.
“Sean is a quality right-back,” Dynan said. “It was a no-brainer. Initially the deal was for a loan but then it became permanent and we did a great deal financially.”

Another new face in red-and-white hoops last weekend was Charlton Athletic’s 19-year-old midfielder, Ben Dempsey, who arrived on loan from the League One side.
“I have been on Ben Dempsey’s trail for about five weeks”, added Dynan. “He’s highly regarded at Charlton and has made first-team appearances for them this year. I don’t want to make too many changes. We have still got the core of the group that started in the summer and I’m looking forward to the second half of the season.”
But AFC Hornchurch remain Kingstonian’s bogey team after an ultimately frustrating result which saw K’s slip to 7th in the table. The home side hadn’t won in 10 league matches but new manager Mark Stimson has clearly put plans in place to lift them away from the relegation places.
For long stretches K’s looked the likely winners and Louie Theophanous, after missing a penalty, gave the away side the lead just before half-time, forcing home a cross from a tight angle. But two late Hornchurch goals turned the scoreline round and it took an 88th minute equaliser from James Daly, following up a rebound, to earn a point.
