Esher v Guernsey – match postponed
High winds in the Channel Islands deprived Esher of the opportunity to occupy the summit of National Division Two South alone.
Opponents Guernsey were unable to take off on Saturday morning, owing to Storm Arwen, forcing the match at Molesey Road to be postponed.
It wasn’t all bad news for Esher though. Redruth, ahead of them only on a greater number of wins, were beaten 24-10 at home by Worthing, who now join the top pair on 43 points in what promises be an exciting second half of the season.
A trip to mid-table Bury St Edmunds beckons for Esher on Saturday, followed by hosting strugglers Canterbury on December 11 before heading to Worthing a week before Christmas. The home date with Guernsey will be rescheduled for the new year.
